Maria Custódio is a Luso-Brazilian creative and emerging filmmaker currently completing her BA (Hons) Film Production at Southampton Solent University. She works across production, cinematography and content creation, combining technical skill with a collaborative approach to visual storytelling.
Her experience includes producing and coordinating short films, managing crews, and overseeing the logistical side of filmmaking, from budgets and call sheets to casting, equipment rentals, and location management. Through these experiences, she has developed strong skills in organisation, communication and adaptability, always aiming to create a productive and positive environment on set. Maria enjoys balancing structure and creativity, finding practical solutions that keep both the story and the team moving forward.
Her background in photography and digital content has shaped the way she sees composition, rhythm and emotion on screen. She’s interested in projects that feel honest and grounded, exploring identity and connection through real, human stories.
